By accessing or using Fairsy (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Fairsy is an expense-sharing application that allows users to split costs within groups. The Service tracks shared expenses and calculates balances between group members.

3. User Accounts

You may use Fairsy as a guest or create an account. When creating an account, you must provide accurate information. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to interfere with the proper functioning of the Service
• Access accounts or data belonging to other users without authorization
• Use the Service to transmit harmful or malicious content

5. Financial Disclaimer

Fairsy is a tracking tool only. It does not process payments, transfer funds, or provide financial advice. All settlements between users are handled independently outside of the Service.

6. Data and Content

You retain ownership of the data you submit to Fairsy. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your data as necessary to provide the Service.

7. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time through the Settings page. Upon deletion, your personal data will be anonymized. Group and expense data may be retained in anonymized form to maintain accurate records for other group members.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Fairsy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
